Lore

Edboy’s Fried Chicken N’ Things originated from its predecessor, the food truck Bird Coma. In 2016, an all fried chicken menu was crafted, fusing together Cajun and Japanese comfort food. It became one of the few unique fried chicken food truck vendors in Los Angeles. At the end of 2024, after a long hiatus, Edboy’s Fried Chicken started up once again with a new truck and a revamped menu. The menu is inspired by and specialized in Japanese fried chicken known as karaage. Edboy’s chicken is double fried, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The ingredients used to prepare the chicken make it accessible to many, featuring gluten free, egg free, and dairy free options.

Multiple flavors are available, including Buffalo Lemon Pepper Tenders, Dynamite seasoned tenders with house made hot honey, and classic tenders with sauces on the side. These same flavors are used to create fried chicken sandwiches such as the Golden BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Korean BBQ, Buffalo, and more. Edboy’s aims to offer something for everyone, including vegetarian and plant based options. The house cauliflower karaage is prepared similarly to the chicken and is featured in items like the Cauliflower “Chicken” Sandwich and Cauliflower Buffalo Fries. Popular sides include popcorn chicken, house seasoned fries, tater tots, and onion rings. There are plenty of ways to customize an order while keeping the focus on what Edboy’s does best: fried chicken. For those craving more, the soul comforting chili cheese tots with cowboy candy are a favorite. Nothing on the menu steers anyone wrong at Edboy’s.

With countless food trucks operating in Los Angeles, Edboy’s takes pride in quality food, customer interaction, and service. Returning customers are appreciated, and the truck continues to add new offerings in response to that support. Exciting features surround the Edboy’s experience, including Pokémon Booster meal combos, which include TCG booster packs. A live stream shows the kitchen service and food preparation, allowing customers to watch their food being made and handed directly to them. Transparency is not the easiest function in most kitchens, but Edboy’s operates as an A to Z business that shows the ins and outs of what goes into making its food taste great.

Catering and private events are always welcome. Edboy’s is committed to providing great food, attentive service, and fulfilling client requests. Professionalism is a priority, and the personal touches make a big difference. As a mobile food vendor, communication and awareness are essential, especially when small customizations can make all the difference. Whether it is a birthday or a special event, the goal is to leave the venue hearing genuine compliments and gratitude, which provides the perfect closure to the hard work behind each service.

The chef behind it all is Edmon Marsikyan, a 33 year old native Angeleno who has been part of various Los Angeles communities and has left a mark in the food truck industry. A martial artist, yogi, and someone who values healthy practices alongside good food, Edmon brings passion to every service. Every customer who steps up to Edboy’s Fried Chicken food truck is greeted not by a staff member but by Edmon himself, cooking and plating each dish. The owner and operator is always present, serving gorgeous food with care. A quick greeting goes a long way, and visitors are always glad they stopped by.
